Emotion words from the parent of actor Jake Mestre from "Prince & Ekaj"

Please take the time out to get a better idea on how important this movie is. It will open the eyes of parent’s such as my self, who don’t know how to deal with the mental and emotional states that these young men do experience.

This trailer and movie has changed my life, I myself have lived the changes of a young boy who is very different in many ways I cannot explain. What I do know is that through the hard ships and my lack of understanding, it took me a long time to understand that… READ MORE

"Your trailer is a good film already. I hope you can make it a Feature Length. I'm sure it will bring you success! And please send me more as you progress with it". - George Pitts, Former photo editor of Vibe and Life magazine
I worked with Cati Gonzalez several times and have know her for many years. She has always astounded me with her amazing talent to turn a single still image into a story. So it's no surprise to me that she has picked up a video camera to express herself. The richness of her photography is now being expressed through dialogue and the moving image. Her work like herself is full of extraordinarily complex emotions both harsh and gentle. And beautiful. Can't forget beautiful. If you can help her tell this story, please do. - Frank Gargiulo
"Was blown away by how great it looks, all of it, the statement, the look of the scenes, the acting, the vision". - Jose Yenque, Actor/Producer/Director
This is absolutely great! Mad Cool. Everyone in the Fashion and Model Agency Industry should see / support it. - Idoll Magazine
Prince & Ekaj is a film and video project by Cati and Mike Gonzalez, following young street hustlers on the streets of NYC. That may mislead you into thinking "we've seen this before," but give the Kickstarter a chance—the acting is non-existent. Not that this is a documentary, but the inexperienced actors, in the limited clips, make their characters seem so legit it's almost like watching a documentary. The only giveaway is the impressive style, yet that's often present naturally in situations like these so I didn't see it as a strike.
