I worked with Cati Gonzalez several times and have know her for many years. She has always astounded me with her amazing talent to turn a single still image into a story. So it's no surprise to me that she has picked up a video camera to express herself. The richness of her photography is now being expressed through dialogue and the moving image. Her work like herself is full of extraordinarily complex emotions both harsh and gentle. And beautiful. Can't forget beautiful. If you can help her tell this story, please do. - Frank Gargiulo
"Was blown away by how great it looks, all of it, the statement, the look of the scenes, the acting, the vision". - Jose Yenque, Actor/Producer/Director
This is absolutely great! Mad Cool. Everyone in the Fashion and Model Agency Industry should see / support it. - Idoll Magazine
Prince & Ekaj is a film and video project by Cati and Mike Gonzalez, following young street hustlers on the streets of NYC. That may mislead you into thinking "we've seen this before," but give the Kickstarter a chance—the acting is non-existent. Not that this is a documentary, but the inexperienced actors, in the limited clips, make their characters seem so legit it's almost like watching a documentary. The only giveaway is the impressive style, yet that's often present naturally in situations like these so I didn't see it as a strike.
